From an early age Dr. Wayne LaBauve knew he wanted to work in a profession that involved animals. His aptitude for Science and Biology along with his bond to pets quickly drove his interest towards Veterinary Medicine.
He concentrated his efforts on academics and earned a spot at LSU School of Veterinary Medicine in 1984. After achieving his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree, he spent a year fine tuning his education in an internship with the Prestigious Sacramento Animal Medical Group, training under close tutelage with specialists in the areas of Internal Medicine, Surgery, Ophthalmology, and Cardiology.
After completing his internship Dr. Wayne returned to his home state of Louisiana and began living his dream of providing excellence in medical, surgical, and dental care. In 1994, he opened Northshore Animal Hospital in Mandeville where he gets to spend every day doing what he loves most, working with and helping animals in need and building steadfast relationships with his clients and staff.
Dr. Wayne says he learned early in his career that it takes more than knowledge and expertise to make a great veterinarian. It takes the time and effort to listen closely and get to know his clients, their pets, and address each of their concerns with understanding and compassion. To this end he has built his Staff around the concept of caring compassionate service to his clients, their pets, and the community.
Dr. Wayne is married with 2 children. In his free time, he’s an avid archer and enjoys golfing and fishing.
