Some health conditions in pets are not detectable during an external examination. For this reason, we use in-house diagnostic tests to help us get an accurate picture of your pet’s overall health. With our new state-of-the-art chemistry analyzer, we can process many test results on site, typically within minutes. This is especially beneficial for critical illness and injury cases that need prompt diagnosis and treatment.

Our in-house diagnostic capabilities enable us to conduct full chemistry panels, measure liver and kidney function, monitor diabetic patients, and perform thyroid levels. We also test for heartworms and do fecal analysis.

Results from diagnostic testing can detect infection and anemia, determine electrolyte status and hydration levels, evaluate kidney, liver, and pancreas function, screen for thyroid disease, check blood sugar levels, and more. The quick turnaround time of our in-house lab means that our knowledgeable veterinarians can give you a diagnosis and start treatment on the same day. That’s all the better for quickly getting your pet back to normal. Should our veterinarians determine that your pet requires a more complete blood panel than what we can procure in-house, we will use an outside lab that can typically get us results by the next day depending on the particular test.
